A butterfly is any of several groups of mainly day-flying insects of the order Lepidoptera, the butterflies and moths. Like other holometabolous insects, butterflies' life cycle consists of four parts, egg, larva, pupa and adult. Most species are diurnal. Butterflies have large, often brightly coloured wings, and conspicuous, fluttering flight. Butterflies comprise the true butterflies (superfamily Papilionoidea), the skippers and the moth-butterflies; all the very many other families within the Lepidoptera are referred to as moths. Butterflies exhibit polymorphism, mimicry and aposematism.

Hello girls!
It's been some weeks since i visited you with to of my friends Stuart (England) and Carlos (China - England) and i really had a great time. Now i'm back in Sweden again and i mostly wanted to say thank you for having a place as awesome as yours! I really needed to see all that beauty in Nhkata Bay. I wish you all the best, and especially with all that programs that you guys run in the communities, my goal is to come back, and then i will come back to the butterfly.
Until then, thanks for an awesome experience!

Hello all :)
Alice, I met your mum in Bristol today- she taught me at school when I was about 7! In our conversation she said about the Butterfly Space. I thought it souunded very interesting so I just had to remember the web address and look it up.
I am very impressed with Butterfly Space and I think it is great what you are doing for the community. It is so good to see you involved with the locals, helping them and offering an oppertunity for backpackers to give something back and support the project.
It looks like a beautiful place. One day I would like to visit a child who I am in contact with in Tanzania, so maybe it would be a good opportunity to come and help out for a little bit in Malawi!
I hope the Butterfly Space keeps developing and benefitting the local community.

Hello Alice,
I checked in your Mum and Rowan today at London Heathrow. Your Mum gave me your card so I said I would have a look on your website and here I am! Butterfly Space looks amazing, I am hoping to come out and volunteer one day, I now feel bad for charging your Mum for excess luggage however I promise I will repay you by coming to volunteer and I will bring lots of things with me!

The website is really great now. Keep on in there girls and add all of it. 13 sewing machines on their way and loads of stuff for the Nursery- just hope there is no problem getting it to Butterfly from Lilongwe Best of all is that Chris and I will be there in 3 weeks now. Can hardly wait to see all the projects in operation and lend a hand in some way or other. Much love to you both ESPECIALLY thst daughter of mine Alice. xxx
